I’m proud to write that “850 meters” got the trust and support from the VAF (Flemish Audiovisual Fund). This is the green light we’ve been waiting for and are getting things ready to begin producing the film within the few weeks/month. First thing on the list is an 850 Meters website with a 850 teaser.

The “Fair Trading ?” 60-second short film made it to the deadline. It took a lot of energy in a very short amount of time – and even though I would still love to polish it a little further – the result is pretty nice. We’ll find out next week if the BeFair.be jury likes it too.
Another successful collaboration with my favorite composer Frederik Segers (Fre working at my desk, here above), who again created a strong and catchy score that sticks in your head for days once you’ve heard it !
Muchos thanks to Grid-vfxfor the much needed technical support and PMG for providing support with their animation tools.
Special thanks to Perrine Gauthier for helping throughout the process!
This on goes for sure on the shelf of shorts that I’m proud of.
I’ll post the movie in a little week, once the winner is announced.
I’m currently spending after, after hours time creating a (very) short for a competition organized by the Belgian Technical Cooperation (BTC) and the Trade For Development Centre. Winning works will be used as a good-cause promotional assets for FAIR TRADING.
I’m in the process of producing a 60 sec animation. My favorite composer Frederik Segers will come up with some music for it!
Not that I’m bored these days : Getting ready for Plankton Invasion, the TV series, producing my first festival-short-film: 850 Meters and currently writing/ directing on Ooohhhasis, a French-Korean animated TV series…
I’m currently working on a new project; 850 Meters, a short film intended for 2010 – 2011 animation festivals. Written and directed by myself, co-written with Karim Rhellam and Perrine Gauthier – music by the composer of Plankton Invasion, Frederik Segers and produced by Annemie Degryse (Lunanime) and JC BVBA.
(Work in progress – Building the main character)
We are already in development and hope to start production in the fall. This 8 minute medieval adventure will be fully produced withinMessiah:Studioand with the support, participation and involvement of PMG’s headquarters! Master Vegard Myklebust himself joined the project as well, and is currently building the rig based on the rigging methods I used for Plankton Invasion!
With this small, but talented team we’ll aim for a high quality and (hopefully) very funny short. The official website and teaser will soon be online.
